Matt Sawicki

Matt Sawicki is a 30 year resident of Bay County running for Congress in the 5th district of Michigan.  He is a sixteen year veteran teacher for Bangor Township Schools.  He is a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University, where he earned his Bachelor's of Arts in Education in 1991, and his Master's of Arts in Education in 1997.  Matt has been active in the community, teaching, coaching and working with children during the summer months.  He is a motivated, hard-working, dedicated individual committed to bettering the future of our youth and community. 

Matt and his wife, Melissa are both members of St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church, where they were married in 2005.  They both are proud members of the Right to Life of Michigan as well as the National Rifle Association.  Matt's wife Melissa is also a teacher for Saginaw Area Catholic Schools.

Being the youngest of six children, Matt firmly believes in preserving the strength of the American family.  His siblings stretch from Michigan to the east coast,  and down to Florida.    His parents are currently enjoying their retirement years traveling, and residing in Venice, Florida.
